A fire has broken out in a row of garages on Klostergatan in central Eskilstuna, resulting in heavy smoke, reports P4 Sörmland.
The emergency services have issued an important public announcement (VMA), advising everyone in the area to go indoors and close doors, windows, and ventilation.
The VMA was issued due to a fully developed fire in a building on Klostergatan in Eskilstuna.
The alarm was received just before 2 p.m.
“It is a garage that has caught fire for an unknown reason. There is no risk of the fire spreading, but there is a lot of smoke,” says Sebastian Levin, duty officer at the emergency services.
The fire is described as fully developed.
People in the area are urged to go indoors and close doors, windows, and ventilation.
No one has been injured in connection with the fire.
