A serious traffic accident occurred on the E18 in Hallstahammar where a car and a van collided head-on. Six people were injured in the crash. One of the injured, who was trapped in the wreckage, has been transported to the hospital by helicopter. At least one person is reported to be seriously injured, and a child was also involved in the accident.
The road has been completely closed to traffic, and there is currently no forecast for when it will reopen. Most of the injured have been transported to the hospital. Police indicate that there are likely more than one person with serious injuries, but this has not yet been confirmed. The vehicles involved in the accident will be impounded, and there are no suspects at this time.
