A woman in her 70s has died after a car was hit by a train. The accident occurred shortly after 21.00 on Friday evening at a railway crossing in Bromölla. According to the rescue services, the car was dragged 100 to 150 meters after the collision.
“There was only one person in the car,” said Mikael Lind, duty officer at the police.
The accident happened at a monitored crossing with barriers. About 30 people were on board the train. The police have no information that any of them were injured. The cause of the accident is still unclear.
