A man in his mid-30s has been shot indoors in Åkersberga, north of Stockholm, according to police reports.
The man was conscious when he was transported to the hospital by air ambulance. However, his condition is difficult to assess, according to the police, who stated that the alarm was received at 1:18 AM on Wednesday.
“After the shooting, the perpetrator fled the scene, and the police are using a helicopter in the search,” the police wrote on their website.
The incident is being investigated as an attempted murder.
