A man in his 40s has died in a drowning accident near Läckö Castle in Lake Vänern, according to the police.
Another person, a child, was pulled from the water and transported to the hospital by ambulance helicopter. The child’s condition is still unclear.
“We are treating this as a death without suspicion of crime. Everything indicates that it is a tragic accident,” said Fredrik Svedemyr, a police spokesperson.
The alarm about the accident came at 15:12 on Monday, and several rescue resources were dispatched to the scene.
