A man has died in a drowning accident in Ockelsjön, south of Vännäs in Västerbotten, reports Västerbottens-kuriren.
The man was found in the water on Saturday afternoon and was transported by ambulance helicopter to Umeå.
“At this moment, we are treating it as a drowning without suspicion of a crime,” Johan Marklund, RLC officer at the Umeå police, told Västerbottens-kuriren.
The man’s relatives have been notified.
