The man found injured after a suspected shooting in Strömmensberg, Gothenburg, has died, according to the police.
He was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The incident occurred outdoors in a residential area, and several shots were fired, according to the police.
An “intensive search operation” is now underway for the perpetrators.
“We have personnel in the field searching for the suspects in the area with dogs, among other resources. We have certain descriptions to go on that we are watching for,” says Jens Andersson of the police in the West region.
Earlier today, another shooting took place in Partille, Gothenburg.
“We are, of course, looking into whether there might be any connection there or not. It will become clearer over time if there is a link with other violent acts,” says Jens Andersson.
