Train traffic between Gothenburg and Malmö has come to a complete standstill following an accident just south of Varberg. The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. on Thursday morning at an unguarded railway crossing in Apelviken, where a person was struck by a train.
Emergency services, including the fire department, ambulance, and police, are on the scene. According to Per Aronsson from the Swedish Transport Administration’s press office, the earliest forecast for resuming traffic is around 12:00 p.m.
